More Simply Charmed Cards

I am in love with this cartridge. Googly eyes are a must in my opinion. I seem to use a lot of googly eyes and pop dots.

Simply Charmed Cards

Yesterday, I went through my patterned paper scraps, and thought they would look cute with the cuts from Simply Charmed, so I made cards with them today. There's still lots of scraps left so I guess more critters are in my future.

A Gift For One Of My Friends

These are some cards I'm making for one of my friends as her birthday gift. Her favorite colors are pink and brown. At least I think they are. She was at my house one day and I seem to remember her saying they were her favorites. So I got started on them this morning. I want to make at least a 10 card set. I'm pretty sure she'll like them.

Create A Critter

Here is my latest projects. A few months ago, a freind of mine asked me to make a couple of centerpieces for a baby shower and a little gift to go along with them. I of course said sure, any reason to use my trusty Cricut and I'm in. I decided that Create A Critter had the cutest darn animals on it. While I was cutting out all the critters for the project I thought why not cut out some of the animals for a future project. I seem to think that a lot, but rarley does that project ever come about. Well, this week over on the Cricut Message Board my dear friend Joy selected Create A Critter as our challenge cartridge. My furture project had finally come.

A little credit is due. The Elephant card in the first picture and both cards in the second picture were sketches from Tuesday Morning Sketches. They have a lot of really nice sketches on that site.

This the original project that I made for the baby shower.

Valentine Cards For The Kiddlets

I made these 3 cards for my 3 Valentine Minions. I was inspired by a challenge over on the Cricut Message Board Sketch Challenge. This is the thread:http://community.provocraft.com/Cricut-Community_postst52035_RAQs-Inspirational-Challenge-EVERYONE-is-welcome.aspx. I've just joined in thier fun, but hope to rise to the challenge more often.

Love is in the Air

Today I decided to work on some Valentine's Day cards. Not sure who they are for, I just felt like making them. I kind of want to make some cutsy ones for my kids, maybe tomorrow I'll do that. Nothing like waiting till the last minute right? Here is what I did today. I must say the first card was inspired by a challenge sketch I saw on the Cricut Message Board.

Paper Pups Cards

There is a nice group of ladies who I regularly chat with over on the cricut message board. For the past 3 weeks we have been taking turns choosing a cartridge to make a project with. This week it was my turn to pick. I chose Paper Pups, why did I choose this cartridge you may ask, well I bought it many years ago and never used it. I came up with a couple of cards.

My First Project For My Blog

O.K. being as I live in Jordan, we don't have Walmart. So on Black Friday I got up super early and cyber stalked Wal-mart.com. I wanted 2 cartridges so bad. A little background about Black Friday for me. When we lived in the States. I lived for Black Firday. I was one of those crazy people up at 3:00 a.m. to go to Wal-mart and wait. It was thrilling, it was exciting, it was the best. Call me crazy. Anyway when I saw the Lite cartridges for Black Friday I just knew they had to be mine. SO I got up, and sat at my good old computer and waited for it to be 12:00 midnight were ever it needed to be midnight for them to be available. I still don't know what time zone I was shooting for, anyway, I got Twinkle Toes, Jolly Holiday and figured since it was there, I also got Inspired Heart. Today I got out Twinkle Toes and I'm in LOOOOOOVE! It's so cute. My little girl isn't a dancer, well she thinks she is, so I made a little dancer for her door with her name on it. I think it turned out cute.

Not sure if this happens to anyone else, but once I got it done, I thought of a few other things I could have added or done different.

She is cut at 11 1/2 in. I added a prima flower and a pink rhinestone to her headband. I thought it looked a little weird with just the top of the bows there. I wanted to put a little pink ribbon bow on it, but Alya wanted the flower and I figured since I didn't let her pick out any of the colors for the girl, I would let her pick flower or bow. The font is Storybook. I seem to use that one a lot for Alya.
