Today I felt like making a card set that is a little more grown up. I like how it turned out. The birds and birdcages are from Songbird. That's such a nice cartridge for easy cards. The box is from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. The owl card is from Give a Hoot.

I Got Crafty Finally
Wow! it's been a while since I did anything crafty. It's starting to warm up a bit so I thought I'd let the paper fly. I have a new passion (at least for now) I love love love making these little notebooks. I think they are so cute. Very easy to make and everyone I've shown them to have loved them. I think they will make great gifts for my Husbands older nieces.
I made a few cards also. The 2 baseball ones are for my sons baseball coaches. I think they turned out pretty cute.

Minnie Mouseamania (is that a word?)
Hey everybody did you miss me? I just can't get into a scrappy mood lately. Not sure what it is. It's been kind of cold lately here in Jordan. Maybe that's it, I don't want to go up to my studio and be cold. I need to get a t.v. and dvd player up there. I've been hauling up the small t.v. when I go up there but for some reason the kiddos want it back down for the Wii. Anyway, my friend Debbie issued a challenge for the few of us who chat over on the cricut message board. Her challenge was to do a Disney project. I was going to do Toy Story, but I just couldn't get into it. I had some Minnie Mouse cuts already cut and glued together so I made some cards with those. It counts if they are already cut out and just need a project right? Anyway enjoy

My Daughter's 5th Birthday Party Decorations
This past weekend my baby turned 5. I can't believe it. For some reason she thinks something magical will happen when she's 5. The past few weeks she's been going around telling people she can't wait to be 5. Ahh to be young again. Anyway, we chose Hello Kitty as the theme. Doing party decorations is one of my favorite things to do with my Cricut. I just love making banners, invites and goody bags. I might start working on next year's party, ha ha.

Owl Card
Well, it's been a while my blog friends. I've been busy working on my daughter's 5th birthday party decorations. More on that when they are done. On to my post. Over on the cricut message board I chat with some ladies I consider my friends. Here is the link to our thread: http://community.provocraft.com/Cricut-Community_postst60038_-HELLO-MONDAY----WELCOME-CRICUT-CHATTERS.aspx We each take turns choosing a little used cartridges we might have. My friend Debbie challenged us to make something with an owl. Apparently she really likes owls. I tried to go for something not so cutsey. I do love the owl on Create a Critter but alas I went with the owl card on Just Because Cards. I think that cartridge was getting a little lonely. I really should play equally with all my cartridge friends. The card is cut at 5 3/4 the owl is cut at 10 inches. I know this may sound huge, but it cuts it in relation to the card size. I had to adjust the size until I got the size I wanted. This made my daughter happy, she got all my practice cuts. She calls them the mommy and the babies. I cuttlebugged all the layers. I wasn't too sure about how it would turn out, but I kind of like it.

Do you like my laundry?
I've been wanting to try resticking my cricut mats for a while. Being I live overseas, I can't just run out and buy new mats. I noticed that I'm down to my last new mat so I'm giving this a try. Yes, there are 15 of them babies. I washed them all and had them propped up on a towel to dry, then I decided maybe they needed some room between them. So I hung them up on clothes drying rack. I hope this works. I have the Zig two way chisel pen ready to go when they are dry. Otherwise I have to pay HUGE shipping cost to get more mats. Wish me luck.

Life's A Beach Card
Over on the Cricut Message Board a small group of us chat pretty much on a daily basis about our lives. Latley we have been taking turns choosing a cartridge for us to use to make a project. This week my friend Joy chose Life's a Beach. I think she may have chosen this one to try and hurry up the warm weather. Anyway, this card made me feel a bit warmer. The best thing is that I used all scraps. So, it counts for the Scraps4fun.com blog challenge. I hope you like it.
